About Worth Memorizing

Worth Memorizing helps you learn Bible verses by heart and keep them. It is made by BibleDo, which sets Scripture to music word for word in many styles. This site is the memorizing side of that work: the words first, then the habit of keeping them.

The 104 verses and their notes were chosen and written for the BibleDo app, and this site is their public home. Each note says why the verse is worth knowing, what surrounds it, and what was happening when it was written. Where a note quotes Scripture, it uses the same translation as the verse.

The translation

Scripture on this site is from the World English Bible (the edition published by eBible.org), a modern English translation in the public domain. You can print it, copy it and share it. "World English Bible" is a trademark of eBible.org.

The trainer

The word-hiding trainer follows the one in the BibleDo Reader: it hides a quarter of the words at a time in a fixed order, keeps first letters until the last round, and never keeps a score. Hidden words are left out of the page, not covered, so when you show them again you see the text exactly as it was.
